White Wood Studio is a design studio and curated platform based in Budapest, dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting traditional Ukrainian craftsmanship for contemporary living.

At the heart of our work are handwoven Hutsul rugs, crafted in the Carpathian Mountains by a fifth-generation family of artisans using time-honored techniques passed down through generations. Made from locally sourced wool and woven entirely by hand, each rug carries the texture, rhythm, and quiet beauty of the mountains where it was created.

Alongside our own collections, we curate a thoughtful selection of objects by contemporary Ukrainian designers: ceramics, textiles, candles, and decorative pieces that share a deep respect for heritage, material, and craftsmanship.

White Wood Studio was created to bridge tradition and modern design, offering objects that bring warmth, authenticity, and cultural meaning to everyday spaces. Through our work, we aim to support independent makers, preserve disappearing crafts, and introduce the richness of Ukrainian design to a wider European audience.
